How to use the acca calculator
Enter the odds for each selection in your accumulator. Fractional odds are the default, but decimal and American prices work too, and you can mix them. Set each leg to Win, Void or Lose, enter your stake and choose a currency. The combined odds, total return and profit update straight away. You can add up to 20 legs, and the link in your address bar keeps your slip so you can share it or come back later.
Open "Add from ProbaPredict" to search upcoming matches and add a selection with our model probability attached. When every leg comes from our predictions, the calculator also shows our model's chance of the whole acca winning and its fair odds, so you can compare that with the price your bookmaker offers.
The formulas
- Combined odds = leg 1 decimal × leg 2 decimal × … × leg n decimal.
- Total return = stake × combined odds (zero if any leg loses).
- Profit = total return − stake.
- Void legs count as 1.00, so they drop out of the multiplication.
- Implied chance of every leg winning = 1 ÷ combined odds.
Worked example 1: a Saturday four-fold
You back four teams at 5/4, 10/11, 6/4 and 2/1 with £10. In decimal those are 2.25, 1.91, 2.50 and 3.00. Multiplied together they give 32.22, or roughly 31/1. If all four win, the return is £322.16 and the profit £312.16. The implied chance of all four winning is 1 ÷ 32.22 = 3.1%, and that still includes the bookmaker's margin on every leg.
Worked example 2: a postponed match
Same four-fold, but the 6/4 match is postponed and the leg is made void. It now counts as 1.00, so the acca becomes a treble at 2.25 × 1.91 × 3.00 = 12.89. A £10 stake returns £128.86 if the other three win. If instead the 10/11 leg loses, the return is zero whatever happens elsewhere.
Common mistakes
- Adding the odds instead of multiplying them. Two legs at 2.00 make 4.00, not 4.00 + something.
- Forgetting that fractional odds exclude the stake. 2/1 is 3.00 in decimal.
- Assuming more legs means more value. Each leg adds the bookmaker's margin again, and the chance of winning falls fast.
- Combining two selections from the same match. Bookmakers treat these as linked and usually price them lower than the simple product.
